This is a Space Shooter. The game characters and sound were put together with children with Autism.
Autism Awareness Month is April!

Please think of and pray for these children. 1 in 110 children are affected by this.
Please see below, I scanned the drawings that were made by these children.

- Things to make the game interesting. (Bold items are most important)
You can direct the ship around and use the bottom of the screen, your finger can go over the score box at the bottom.
For Apple devices The "m" at the top left is a Menu button, click on it to get to the menu's, it will pause the game as well. For android this is the hard key menu button.
Normal Game play Shields are earned every 20,000 points. Use these wisely, ie when enemies are coming straight at you. These only stop enemy laser fire so you cannot ram the enemy. Also when your ship is red and ready to blow a Shield will also repair your ship to full health. Shield symbols will show on both sides on the playfield as you never know what side you'll be on when you need one. Also your finger has to leave the ship to tap on the S, you cannot use two fingers. ie. keep moving and firing the ship and use another finger to hit the shield.
After you complete level 5 and 10 your lasers will be powered up.
The ship points are progressive, higher levels and Bosses give more points.
It's extremely important not to get to close to an exploding enemy as it will take your ship as well.
The Bosses will have a health meter on the left side of the screen, drain it to put them down.

Story
It all started as I was working on a game for the Android system and then decided to make it for the Apple devices as well. The 1st Game was a Cannonball tpye game. Boom full or Boom Lite as well as Castle Fire and Castle Fire Lite.
My son was taking some interest in the games. I told him I was going to do another "Space Shooter" game. He seemed pretty interested so I decided this really takes some time to put something like this together so if i was going to do another game it would be great if the kids could be involved in the characters and sounds. I took my son and daugther, who is is severely affected by autism, she is 11 and non verbal to the table and said let's draw some creatures. My son worked away on these drawings, i've posted a few below, my daughter did her best to color some of them. The sounds I had used our itouch 4g device to record my son and although difficult my daughter as she can make sounds but no words. I put these into Audacity and clipped and tried to get them at the same sound level. I myself have a couple of the boss's sounds.
Well that's the basic story, if you have any questions you can use the email link above.
Thanks again and I hope you enjoy it. Rob
